I hope that in the long term this excerise will be looked upon as humanities finest achievement and will be reviered through the ages in an almost biblical fashion.

My aim is simple, to create the first work of literiture to be created by the entire planet. To be the first piece of work created by all of mankind (Including Cherie Blair). By starting a story and inviting all who take a look to add a chapter of whatever they feel. There is no right or wrong to it, add what ever you like and many years from now maybe you will be watching the chapter you wrote being acted out by Charlton Heston or even Hywell Bennett from Shelly.

The story is to be titled "ANY STORM IN THE PORT", this is a play on words from my home town of NEWPORT, South Wales (Come on the Dragons).

I hope you enjoy this project whether taking part or just reading, the only other thing I request is that if you do contribute, please initial, date and note your location at the end of your chapter.

All the best and have a good 2006 - Iajamo.

ANY STORM IN THE PORT

(A collective work by the people of Earth)

Prologe

Sweet and aromatic delights played over Scotts nostrils and awoke him in a most splendid vigor. The night before had been a relaxed and comfortable affair, with fine conversation and witty rapport dancing over a river of lager, whisky, vodka and Red Bull. Memories of places, people and events briefly surfaced into his mind before diving back into the black outs of a top night out.

All to often his recollection of the night before was hazy at best and this Sunday morning was not unlike any other.

The pain in the side of his head was already starting to annoy as was the pain in his back, but such things would need to wait. Scotts most pressing need to was to find out where he was and what was that smell. Cracking the crust from their lids he slowly opened his eyes and recognised the dark stone roof of Newport Castle. Awhile back it had been transformed into a brewery, but now after years of neglect was no more than a shell of its former glory and a hang out to the drunk, desparate and for last night Scotty boys Saturday B&B. Sitting up on one arm he quickly discovered the smell that had been their to wake him, it was the half digested remains of his favorite large chicken donna with chillie and garlic sauce elegently decorating the front of his shirt and coat.
